Beyond the sling
Caring for you, not just your baby
When I first started working with families as a sling consultant, it became very clear that parents needed far more than just help with a sling. Yes, slings are wonderful tools, but what really mattered was having someone come into their home who would listen. I found myself talking with parents about so much more than carrying: their birth experiences, feeding journeys, how their relationships were adjusting, how they were feeling emotionally and physically, how sleep was going and all the day-to-day challenges of life with a new baby.
Those sling consultations naturally turned into something bigger. I found myself offering reassurance, sharing little tips and tricks, signposting to further support where needed and topping up a bottle before I left. I made sure I didn’t rush, that I included other family members where possible, and that I gave mums space to be heard. I would often leave those visits wishing I could do more - because the need was so clear.
Extra support when you need it
More than advice
With my second baby, I created a postnatal plan just as carefully as I had planned for birth. I set boundaries around who would visit and when, thought about what I wanted people to do when they came, and made sure my husband and birth partner were prepared for how to protect our little bubble. That planning made such a difference - it gave me space to recover, bond with my baby, and feel supported without being overwhelmed.
That’s why I’ve committed to offering more than just sling support or feeding advice. My postnatal support is about helping you feel held, understood and cared for in those tender weeks after birth. I’m here to make your experience as smooth and positive as possible, taking some of the weight off your shoulders so you don’t have to carry it all alone.
My postnatal support isn’t about replacing a cleaner, a cook, or a nanny, but I do know that sometimes the most meaningful help can be the little practical things. If what you need is someone to hold the baby while you shower, to make you a snack, or to run the hoover round so you can rest, then that’s part of the support too. It’s always led by you and what will make life feel easier in that moment.
Postnatal Package
Flexible support when you need it most
My postnatal support is designed to be as flexible as you need it to be. You can book as many visits as you want, whenever you want them - whether that’s having me come in straight after birth for a couple of hours here and there, waiting until you’re preparing to return to work and need extra support, or spacing visits out over time. It’s completely led by you and what feels right for your family. Support can include:
